Quick Links provide families, staff, and students with immediate one-tap access to frequently visited resources—such as athletic schedules, lunch menus, student information systems, and district calendars—directly from the Edlio mobile app and connected website portals.
Navigating to Quick Links
To manage your shortcut links and categories, navigate to the Quick Links dashboard:
From your main dashboard, click the top navigation grid icon and select Features.
Click the Quick Links tile to open the directory root view.
To place a new link directly at the top level or within a specific category, click + New in the upper-right corner.
Creating a new Quick Link
When you click + New, the full-page Create Quick Link form opens:
Title: Enter a concise, recognizable name for the shortcut (e.g., Athletics Calendar, Parent Portal).
Link (URL): Enter the complete web destination URL, including
https://.Select Media: Optionally upload a custom icon or image thumbnail to represent the shortcut in the app menu.
Visible: Keep the toggle set to Yes to publish the link immediately, or switch to No to hold it as a draft.
Website Only: Toggle this option ON if you want the link displayed exclusively on your web portal and hidden from native iOS/Android mobile apps.
Secured Access and Audience Restrictions
🔒 Important Note on Secured Access ("Visible only to")
Audience restrictions require authenticated user logins and do not function on open, public app installations. If your mobile app operates without compulsory login, links set to restricted audiences will remain invisible to unauthenticated visitors.
Under the Secured Access card on the right side of the editor:
Visible only to: By default, this is set to Everyone. To restrict sensitive portals (such as staff intranets or teacher gradebooks), click the dropdown and select the specific role or group permitted to view the link.
Click Ok at the bottom of the page to save and publish your shortcut.
