Edlio Mobile App Forms: Organizing Forms into Folders

How to create folders to group and categorize forms in the Edlio Mobile App, with role-based and group-based Secured Access controls.

As your school publishes multiple surveys, registrations, and signups, organizing forms into dedicated folders keeps your mobile app interface tidy and easy for parents to navigate.

Creating a Form Folder

  1. Log into your Edlio App dashboard at edlioapp.com and navigate to Features > Forms.

  2. Click the + New folder button in the upper-right corner.

  3. Configure your folder properties and audience restrictions in the Create Folder window:

  1. Name*: Enter a descriptive category name (e.g., Athletics Permissions, Staff Requests, or Parent Volunteer Forms).

  2. Pin to Position: Specify the sort priority of this folder within your forms library.

  3. Secured Access: Control exactly who can see this folder in the app:

    • All Users (Public): Leave checked to make the folder visible to everyone.

    • Visible only to (Roles): Restrict visibility to specific app user roles (e.g. Staff or Teachers only).

    • Visible only to (Groups): Restrict visibility to defined dynamic groups (such as All Staff, 5th Grade Parents, or booster groups).

  4. Click Save.

💡 Folder Management Tip: To move existing forms into your new folder, return to the Forms Manager, locate the form row, and click the blue Folder icon (Move to Folder) in the action column. Select your destination folder to complete the organization.
