After creating the form shell in the Edlio Mobile App, administrators can build and customize the specific questionnaire fields that parents, students, and staff will fill out directly on their smartphones or via web browser links.
đĄ Best-Practice Adoption Tips for App Questionnaires
Mobile-First Brevity: Because app forms are completed primarily on mobile devices, keep your question sequences concise and straightforward. Group related fields together and minimize open essay prompts to maintain high completion rates.
Require Only Essential Fields: Mark core identification fields (such as Student Name, Grade, and Guardian Signature) as Required, while leaving general feedback or supplemental comments optional.
Digital Signatures for Field Trips: Use the built-in Signature question type for field trip permissions, athletic waivers, and emergency acknowledgments, eliminating paper slips entirely.
Accessing the Form Questions Builder
In your Edlio App admin console (edlioapp.com), navigate to Features > Forms.
Locate your form in the table list.
Click the form title or click the Edit / Questions icon in the row actions.
The form question builder view opens, showing all current fields and controls to add new questions.

Dropdown Menu: A compact selection menu ideal for longer lists such as homeroom teachers or class periods.
Date & Time Picker: Mobile-native calendar controls for selecting event dates, absences, or appointment windows.
File / Photo Upload: Allows respondents to upload pictures or documents directly from their phone camera or document storage (e.g., doctor notes, proof of residency).
