🔄 Target Lists are now Groups. As of June 2026, Target Lists have been renamed to Groups in the Edlio app. This is a rename with a redesigned interface, not a new system — all your data is preserved (members, filter rules, restrictions, and communication history remain intact). You do not need to recreate or migrate anything.
Create Conversation Using Classrooms Group
Classroom-synced groups make it easy to start a conversation with everyone connected to a classroom — and the participant list stays current as the classroom roster changes.
ℹ️ Classroom groups were previously called "Classroom Target Lists." Same feature, new name — existing connections were preserved.
Before you start
The classroom must be set up and connected to a group. Classrooms created or edited in Home > Features > Classrooms show their Connected Groups (formerly "Connected Target Lists") on the Create/Edit screens.
Classroom-synced groups carry a Classroom badge in People > Groups.
Create the conversation
Log in to your admin panel at edlioapp.com.
Open the Conversations/Messaging feature.
Start a new conversation.
When choosing participants, select the classroom group for the classroom you want to reach.
Name the conversation, set any options, and create it.
How membership stays in sync
Classroom group membership is managed by the classroom sync — you can't manually add or remove synced members. What you can change on the group:
Relationship setting — control whether parents/children of classroom members are included.
Additional Contacts — add people outside the classroom roster (e.g., a co-coach).
Use the Sync action on the group to pull the latest roster immediately.
