Email Addresses Configuration
Understanding Email Settings
Email messages can be sent from an email address in your school's domain if the domain has been verified with Edlio
If an unverified domain is used, messages will be sent from an Edlio email address
To verify your domain please reach out to our Tech Support team for assistance
Inherit Settings Option
If you're part of a district, you can check "Inherit settings from district" to use district-level email configurations
District contacts can only be changed by the primary organization
Adding/Managing Email Addresses
View existing email addresses in the table showing Email, Name, and Default status
To add a new address (when not inheriting settings):
Click the + button in the top right of the email table
Enter the email address and display name
Set as default if desired
The address will need verification before use
3. Click "Save" to apply your changes
Caller ID Configuration
Text Message Delivery
Text messages are always sent from a pool of phone numbers
This ensures fast and reliable delivery as carriers may block bulk texts from a single number
Voice Message Settings
Voice messages use a pool of default numbers unless you configure a Caller ID
Default Caller IDs are provided (example: +12093967579, +19156212210, etc.)
You can set up your school's number as the Caller ID for voice messages
Setting Up Your Caller ID
Uncheck "Inherit settings from district" if applicable
Enter your school's phone number in the "Phone Number" field
If your phone system uses an extension, enter it in the "Ext." field
Tip: For extension delays, add "w" before the extension (each "w" adds 0.5 seconds delay)
Click "Call" to initiate verification
Answer the verification call and enter the verification code.
Once verified the Call button will update to show a read trash can to allow your team to delete a Caller ID if needed
District-Level Inheritance
When to Use Inheritance
Use "Inherit settings from district" when you want unified communication settings across all schools
This ensures consistent sender information for all messages from your district
When to Use Custom Settings
Uncheck inheritance when you need school-specific email or caller ID information
Useful when each school needs to maintain its own identity in communications
